A Wardrobe for ALL Seasons

As much as I'd like too, I can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe for every season. That has left me with the challenge of how to make the clothes I do have last through every season. I am glad to say, it is surprisingly easy and a whole lot of fun.

Take that fun summer dress: My favorite is a bright blue knee length sleeveless dress. It is now 60 degrees and I still wear it all the time. How? By throwing on a pair of black leggings and a gray cardigan, it is a whole new outfit.

Another way I could easily upgrade it, put on a stylish blouse and throw a belt around my waist. Now it is a chic skirt. Or put on a pullover sweater for the same effect with some herringbone tights for warmth.

That stylish summer top that's lying in your wardrobe: Put a wool jacket on top for must-have warmth or, if it works, layer it over a long sleeved shirt. I have a darling purple tunic tank that looks just smashing over a black long-sleeved scoopneck tee. This layering would even work with a jersey summer dress!

If your problem is a pair of pink capris you just can't part with, who says those won't work in the fall? A snazzy pair of boots and a dark colored top--suddenly those capris are a bit of necessary sunshine in otherwise cloudy weather.

The bottom line: go grab yourself a versatile sweater and/or cardigan, a pair of black leggings, a couple pairs of funky tights and some long sleeve tees to layer with and you suddenly have a wardrobe for ALL seasons.
